The Power of Black

Happy Friday Readers! Today we thought we'd share how adding the color black can do dramatic things for a room. You do not have to have a big black piece in every room, you just need a splash of black to exude drama into the space.

Black can also do this for a room:

• Adds glamour
• Bring a classic touch to a space
• Create a sense of balance
• Introduce a modern point of view
• Creates character

On Friday we ventured to Indianapolis for the Art & Antiques Show & Sale. The best part of the day was hearing lifestyle expert  Danielle Rollins speak about her book Soiree Entertaining with Style. We also got to meet with her and chat for a while, which was awesome!

Hermes' New Tableware

Hermes is know for its luxurois items, but did you know that they have home decor and tabletop items as well? They do! Recently, they launched a new collection of porcelain Limoges dinnerware that is inspired by racing. The graphic racetrack motif that you will see on the new collection, was first used on a silk scarf last year. The new theme is masculine and modern, which is something not typically seen on Hermes' tableware. Check out the new collection and let us know your thoughts. Like it or hate it?

Mint & Coral...Today's Hot Colors!

Happy Friday Readers! Today is the last day of our week of color. We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have :) We thought we would wrap up the week talking about some colors that are hot right now. Mint and Coral! Separately they are brilliant but put them together and they are stunning. This color trend is in fashion, furniture, decor; seriously it is everywhere you look, but we cannot complain because we love it! What do you think of the trend? Love it or hate it?
