Little Bit of Inspiration

Sometimes a finish can make or break a piece, especially when it comes to furniture. A few of our favorite finishes are malachite and tortoise. Checkout some of the finishes we are loving this week!

Bookcase Transformation

Happy Friday readers! We thought today, we'd show you a before and after project of a piece that we have for sale currently on One Kings Lane. We found this vintage Drexel Heritage bookcase and thought it would look stunning in black with some bright gold accents. We love it! What do you think? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think of the new look!

Schumacher's New Line

On a recent trip to the design center downtown, we came across the new Schumacher line that features fellow interior designer, Mary McDonald. The line combines McDonald's love of Chinoiserie and couture-inspired details with modern patterns. She features both softness and intensity with her fabrics and trimmings. Check out some of the new line below!

Little Bit of Inspiration

As designers, and especially with SWI Vintage, we are always on the lookout for things that can make our services and products one-of-a-kind. Things that will set us apart from the rest and help to solitify our brand. So today, we are looking to upholstered pieces for inspiration. Upholstered pieces can make a dramatic statement in a room. They are also an area where you can take a little risk and experiment with different colors, fabrics, style and combine them in a way that makes for something beautiful. Check out some of these pieces we are loving right now.

Malachite Love

We were recently featured in a "Rock Stars" sale on OKL that featured all kinds of natural stones. Our malachite chandelier, pictured below, was an instant hit and is even more stunning in person! While there were lots of great products to see, the malachite ones were constantly drawing our attention. Malachite has been very inspiring to us lately. We have some great products that we will reveal to you in the next few weeks that are all about that inspiration to us! In the mean time, check out some of these malachite photos and leave us a comment about which one(s) you love the best!

Hello again readers! We took the last few weeks off from posting to get our new office space set up and organized. It was a longgg process, but we are pretty much all unpacked and ready to go again!

That said, we are getting back in the swing of things with a new trend that is hitting just about every market. Quilted Pieces! The theme is popular from fashion, to wall coverings, to accessories, to home decor and is seen is numerous colors and applications. Check out this display of pieces from Elle Decor.

Moving, moving, moving...

Well readers, it has been a crazy couple weeks here at SWI. As most of you have seen on our Facebook page, we just moved offices this week! We are now located at 3700 Eastern Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45226. We are extremely excited to begin making the space our own and for the continued growth of our business. While we are working on setting up the new office and starting new projects for this year, all of which we will be sharing with you, here is one new thing to kick off the year!

Our first project was to re-do our business cards. We wanted to combine the two sides of our business into one easy way for everyone to contact and find us. So this is the final result! We'd love to hear what you think of them!

The colors are a little off in this picture but here they are!!!

We each have them in our purses, so the next time you see us be sure to ask for one!
