Deer Valley
This Christmas, SWI Vintage's Tenesa Wildermuth, and her family traveled to Deer Valley, Utah and spent five beautiful days skiing. While they were out there, she captured these breathtaking shots and we wanted to share a few of her photos with our followers. As much as Tenesa loves vacationing in the sun and spending time at the beach, she said there is something so special about the vast mountains and natural beauty they experienced while skiing. She also loved all of the cozy cabin decor of their resort and said it was the perfect setting for Christmas.

SWI Vintage Christmas
Happy holidays from SWI Vintage! Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year, and we love getting into the spirit by listening to Christmas music and wrapping gifts for friends and family. Here are some festive pictures we snapped around the office of tartan-wrapped presents, vintage barware, and our furry friend Eddie! We would love to hear comments on your personal holiday wrapping style.

A Crush on Blush
It all started with the nude shoe in fashion, and now blush is quickly becoming the "new neutral." From accents in the home to embellished dresses, this color exudes a touch of femininity, tenderness, and luxury. Now old Hollywood glamor meets the modern day in this beautiful color. SWI Vintage would like to introduce a few of our latest furniture pieces that have been lacquered in blush and finished with lovely gilt detailing on hardware and around the quatrefoil edging. We love the soft, romantic lines that these pieces exude and bring to a room.

This delicious pumpkin spice french toast recipe comes from the amazing blog Minimalist Baker.
Ingredients
- 5 1/2 – 7 1/2 cups 1-inch bread cubes
- 7 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 cup pumpkin butter
- 3-4 tablespoons brown sugar for topping
Instructions
- Cut any kind of bread into 1-inch cubes – I recommend a crusty, whole grain variety, but sandwich bread will work, too. Just use enough slice to fill a lightly greased 9×13 baking dish quite full.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, pumpkin butter and pie spice until well combined. Pour over bread and push down with a spoon or your hands until it’s all soaked and mostly covered. Cover with saran wrap or lid and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees, uncover and top with brown sugar, additional pumpkin pie spice and nuts (optional). Bake for 35-45 minutes or golden brown and no longer wet.
- Serve immediately with maple syrup, honey or agave nectar. Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered for up to a couple days.
We hope everyone has a great holiday with loved ones!

Fall Favorites
The leaves are changing and Starbucks has their red cups out, it's that time of year again! We wanted to share a few of our favorite fall trends and decorating ideas as the holiday season approaches us.
[If you aren't into the traditional fall brown and orange color scheme, use gilt accents as an alternative to create a glamorous Thanksgiving centerpiece.]
[This Tom Ford lipstick in 'Black Orchid' is the perfect color to give you deep, oxblood lips.]
[Sienna Miller keeps it casual chic in a blush blouse and a leather YSL bag.]
[Add a touch of the outdoors with this beautiful lacquered antler trophy. Modernize this traditional look by hanging them in an unexpected place such as your home office or guest bedroom.]
[Aerin Laudeer's new book, Beauty at Home, is packed full with beauty and decorating inspiration. This book makes an excellent addition to a coffee table or as the perfect hostess gift this season.]
[Get out your sharpies and spray paint, this DIY place setting couldn't be easier!]
[The top on this stunning console by Leonardo Co. unfolds to double as an extra dining table, perfect for entertaining large parties this season.]
[There are few things more enjoyable than candles during the Fall. We love Diptyque candles because last forever and the votive can be reused when the candle is gone.]
[Intricate gilt sconces add a touch of elegance to a room, and we love that these are vintage.]
[All black everything this time of the year, you can't go wrong!]

Chic Chinoiserie Accents
Chinoiserie pieces bring an exotic sophistication to a space giving it a worldly, classic feel. Adding blue and white porcelain tableware, a pair of fretwork chairs, asian-print upholstery, or large ginger jars are some easy ways to add Chinoiserie accents in a room. Mixing these Chinoiserie pieces with other design styles are some of our favorite ways to create unique and eclectic rooms. Check out some of our new Asian-inspired pieces here now available on One Kings Lane.
